Paper Weather
Bright harmonies, jangling guitars, and short songs about ordinary afternoons.
A song for the walk home
Paper Weather are a trio with two singers and one very busy drummer. Their songs take a small detail, like an empty bus or a wet shopping list, and stay with it for three minutes.
Their demo album Windows Open was recorded over six weekends. The room sounds remain: a chair moving, a count-in, a guitar cable being stepped on. The band keeps the same close arrangement on stage.
What to listen for
The two voices cross during “Cloud Cover” before meeting again on the last chorus. Friday’s set pairs those quieter songs with the quick tempos of their newer material.
