Night Orchard

Wide guitar lines and patient rhythms that gather weight as the light goes down.

After the sun slips

Night Orchard work with repetition. A guitar figure can run for several minutes while the bass and drums change the ground beneath it. The result feels larger than the four people making it.

Their second demo record, Fence Light, moves between spare verses and full-volume endings. Vocalist June Vale writes about places that change after dark: a closed pool, a service road, a garden seen from a train.

Two evenings, two sets

Friday leans into Fence Light. Saturday includes older material and a longer closing piece. The two appearances have different running orders, so a weekend pass offers two distinct listens.

Bring hearing protection if you plan to stand near the front. Free foam earplugs are available at first aid.
