Low Tide Assembly

Warm keys, hand percussion, and a rhythm section that makes room for improvisation.

A band in conversation

Low Tide Assembly begin with a simple chord pattern and follow whoever finds the next turn. Electric piano and percussion do most of the talking; the bass holds the line while the drums pull against it.

The five musicians met at an open rehearsal night beside the river. Their demo recordings are made live, without a fixed solo order. A melody that appears on piano may come back on bass several minutes later.

In the warehouse

The Friday set is built around slower grooves. Saturday starts with quicker pieces and a new arrangement of “Lock Gate.” There is no backing track; each set leaves room for the room itself.
